Bootcut flare jeans are a nod to a stylish past with a modern flair. Our styles are available in stretch pull-on bootcuts, light compression styles, micros, cropped bootcuts, and more.
Here’s what we really love about flares and bootleg jean cuts: They’re super versatile for any type of outing, they’re slimming on the upper legs with a kick in the step, and they’re flattering on every body type.
Bootcut & Flare Jeans FAQs
Bootcut jeans are traditionally slimmer through the thigh and flare out somewhere below the knee, making room for boots and giving these jeans their name. Bootcut jean styles can be low-cut, high-waisted, or anywhere in between. They can also be cropped bootcuts, which rest a few inches above the ankle.
The difference between bootcut and flare jeans is in the flare itself. Flare jeans have a more dramatic opening, which starts at the knee, while bootcut jeans don’t flare out quite as much and may not start flaring until mid-way down the calf.
There are tons of ways to wear these versatile jeans. Dress up your denim flares with heels or boots (imagine that) and button-down shirts. Go casual and dress down with sneakers and your softest t-shirt. For the full curvy-look effect, pair them with a bodysuit that shows off your shape. Going out? Pair our skinny flare jeans with a tiny top and sleek heels for a show-stopping outfit, or pair the slim bootcut jeans with a sparkling tank that’ll turn heads.
This answer isn’t a cop-out; you can wear pretty much any shoe style with a bootcut or flare jean. First off, they’re named for fitting comfortably over cowboy boots and other boots, so that choice is clearly a go. You can also wear flats and sneakers with flare jeans when you’re on the go and feeling casual. Or dress it up with pumps, heeled sandals, wedges, or espadrilles.
Flare pants are back! Like so many other styles that are making their way back around, we love seeing this sassy look back in style. Skinny jeans are still a favorite, but if you want to let your ankles breathe and give your jeans a little swish, these cuts are for you.
Generally, flare jeans hit at the vamp of your shoe (the highest point of the top of your foot), which is a bit longer than a skinny jeans typically would. But—and this is a big but—they can be worn longer or shorter: Wear them longer so they nearly graze the floor for a dramatic look, or wear them cropped with heels or sandals.
Oh, hell yes. Please rock whatever jeans you love because petite jeans are our specialty. We make our petite styles for 5’4” and under, with a petite rise and shorter length–so your jeans will still make you look incredible without dragging on the floor.
You can wear any shoes with flare jeans, really, so yes. We love to pair flats with flare jeans and a smart blazer, a fitted sweater, or even a cute waffle-knit henley.
